The plenary focused on current issues of
military recruitment, globalization and money, all of which can be
connected in the big picture. Raul Matta and Jo Comerford of the
American Friends Service Committee and the Western Massachusetts
Military Recruitment Education Network spoke about current local and
national efforts to educate communities about the realities of military
service and its alternatives. They explored the ways in which community
members can be powerful allies in this process.
The Friday concert included Emma's Revolution,
Kim & Reggie Harris, Roy Brown, Tom Neilson, Jay Mankita, and Ethan
Miller & Kate Boverman.
Here are some of the many pictures from the
gathering.
